People with schizoaffective disorder generally respond best to a combination of medications, psychotherapy and life skills training. At first they thought the psychosis was to do with the manic-depression, because I never had a "normal" period between mood episodes, but once they got my mood swings under control with medication and they realized that I still was hallucinating, getting these thoughts that arent mine etc then we started looking at what was causing that.
